Vegan Buttery French Toast
What do you do when you have leftover gluten free bread in your fridge, and the thought of more toast and jelly makes you sick? You make irresistible french toast of course!
To make this vegan, all you need to do is sub Earth Balance for the butter substitute, Tofutti Cream Cheese for the cream cheese, and Bob’s Red Mill all-purpose gluten free flour for the flour (although I just used white rice flour – what I had on hand). For the eggs, I used about 1/8 cup Ener-G Egg Replacer mixed with enough warm water to make a full cup.
Use your favorite gluten free/yeast free bread… mine was brown rice bread from the frozen section, (pre-thawed and warmed in my oven).
